Amphibia is an animated series that follows 13-year-old Anne Boonchuy, a self-centered Thai-American girl who gets magically transported to a wild, marshland world of anthropomorphic amphibians after opening a mysterious music box. Stranded in this strange new land filled with giant insects and talking frog-people, Anne is taken in by the eccentric Plantar family—the energetic Sprig, the chaotic baby tadpole Polly, and their traditional grandfather Hop Pop. As she learns to navigate rural life in the town of Wartwood and embraces the true meaning of friendship, Anne must also track down her two best friends, Sasha and Marcy, who were sucked into the world with her. Together, the trio is swept into a grand, multi-season adventure involving ancient prophecy, cosmic technology, and a tyrannical king, forcing Anne to mature into a true hero to save both Earth and Amphibia from a sinister artificial intelligence.
