Wolfwalkers is a 2020 animated fantasy film set in 1650 Kilkenny, Ireland, following Robyn Goodfellowe, a young English apprentice hunter who arrives with her father to wipe out the last remaining wolf pack under the orders of the authoritarian Lord Protector. While exploring the forbidden forest outside the city walls, Robyn befriends Mebh, a wild, free-spirited girl belonging to a mysterious tribe of "wolfwalkers"—humans whose spirits transform into wolves while their physical bodies sleep. When Robyn is accidentally bitten and becomes a wolfwalker herself, her worldview is completely upended, forcing her to risk everything to protect the pack from her father's mission and the town's tyrannical regime.
