Final Space is an animated space opera comedy-drama that follows Gary Goodspeed, an energetic but lonely astronaut serving the final days of a five-year prison sentence aboard a solitary spaceship. His life changes instantly when he encounters a mysterious, cute green alien he names Mooncake, unaware that the creature is actually a powerful planet-destroying weapon hunted by the tyrannical Lord Commander. Together with a growing crew of cosmic rebels, including the stoic bounty hunter Avocato and the ship's dry-witted AI, HUE, Gary must protect Mooncake and prevent the villain from tearing open a gateway to "Final Space"—a terrifying dimension where the universe ends. What begins as a goofy, fast-paced sci-fi comedy quickly evolves into a high-stakes, deeply emotional drama filled with tragic losses and universe-ending stakes.
