Hocus Pocus 2 and Hubie Halloween are both spooky comedy films set in Salem, Massachusetts, during Halloween night. Hocus Pocus 2 follows two modern-day teenagers who accidentally light a Black Flame Candle, resurrecting the vengeful, 17th-century Sanderson sisters who try to perform an ultimate spell to rule the town. Meanwhile, Hubie Halloween centers on Hubie Dubois (played by Adam Sandler), a good-natured but constantly bullied town volunteer who must step up to save his ungrateful neighbors when an escaped mental patient and mysterious disappearances disrupt the holiday.
